Wylde Chylde Records Signs Dark Symphonic Metal Titans Spirefall
October 30, 2025 — Los Angeles, CA
Wylde Chylde Records is proud to announce the signing of Spirefall, a dark symphonic metal band led by Sam “Spike” Spicer — a powerful new creative voice already known to WCR fans for his shadowy cameos in Meesha’s music videos “Haunting Me (All Night Long)” and “Love In The Shadows.”
With a sound that blends orchestral drama, gothic atmosphere, and crushing modern metal, Spirefall embodies beauty in darkness — a cinematic storm where ruin and rebirth collide. Their debut instrumental track, “Rise of the Ruined,” will make its first appearance in WCR’s Halloween showcase, introducing the band’s world through a thunderous, apocalyptic soundscape.
Following that, the band will unleash their first full single, “Moonlit Abyss,” — a sweeping descent into the depths of fear, temptation, and transcendence.
The Members of Spirefall
Sam “Spike” Spicer — Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar
A fierce creative force and frontman, Spike channels both classic symphonic metal and modern cinematic influence into his songwriting. His performances carry the weight of a fallen angel and the charisma of a rock outlaw — equally commanding onstage and onscreen. His appearances in Meesha’s “Haunting Me (All Night Long)” and “Love In The Shadows” hinted at his darker artistic transformation, now fully realized through Spirefall.
Cole Harper — Lead Guitar
Cole is a guitar virtuoso whose technical mastery rivals the greatest in symphonic metal. His solos soar with precision and emotion, weaving complex melodies that cut through walls of distortion. Every riff is meticulously crafted, balancing raw power with breathtaking finesse. Cole and Spike first crossed paths in a studio session for another WCR artist, where their shared obsession with atmosphere and storytelling led to the birth of Spirefall.
Nate Rivers — Bass Guitar
A brooding but magnetic presence, Nate’s bass tone forms the black foundation of the band’s sound — heavy, resonant, and ritualistic. Before joining Spirefall, Nate was a sound engineer for underground industrial acts, which gives his low end a uniquely mechanical precision. He describes his role simply: “I hold up the ruins so the others can fall.”
Eddie Coombs — Drums & Percussion
Eddie is a fierce drummer with lightning-fast, impeccably tight chops. His drumming merges technical aggression with cinematic timing, making every blast, fill, and rhythm a precise weapon. Eddie draws inspiration from horror-film scores and extreme metal, crafting percussion that drives the music like a relentless storm.
Alex Quinn — Keyboards & Orchestration
Alex shapes the atmosphere that defines Spirefall. With a background in film scoring and symphonic composition, he’s the one who turns the band’s raw fire into something monumental. His orchestral arrangements — especially the ghostly choirs and strings in “Moonlit Abyss” — bring Spirefall’s world to life with gothic grandeur.
The Sound of Spirefall
Spirefall’s music fuses haunting beauty and raw power, where delicate piano themes give way to waves of distortion and choirs rise from the ashes of silence. Think Within Temptation meets Bring Me the Horizon, scored for a dark cathedral under lightning skies.
Each song feels like a chapter in a larger story — a descent into the shadows that reveals something deeply human beneath the noise.
Band Quote:
“We don’t play songs — we summon them. Every note is a shadow, every chord a storm, every silence a ruin waiting to rise.” — Spirefall
Spike describes the project as “a monument to what’s broken, and the music we make from the pieces.”
A New Era for Wylde Chylde Records
With Spirefall, Wylde Chylde Records continues to push boundaries — expanding its sonic universe beyond traditional genre lines into cinematic and symphonic territory.
The band’s debut instrumental video, “Rise of the Ruined,” and their first vocal single, “Moonlit Abyss,” will both premiere on Halloween weekend 2025 during The AI Music Video Show which is available Live on X.com, and via the free Alchemy Streaming app for Roku and AppleTV.
This isn’t just the start of a band — it’s the birth of a legend forged in digital fire.
From the wreckage, Spirefall rises.
